How much money does a Dealer on a Trading Desk of a major Bank lose if they are unable to trade due to a failed telephone connection? Why is it that when a Dealer loses his or her screen for a short? period due to an IT failure it is accepted far more easily than a loss of their direct telephone connections with their fellow brokers? Why has no vendor addressed the market of providing a recovery solution for individual Dealer lines…until now.

Financial Trading Operations are a tremendous generator of revenue for the owners. The frenetic buy / sell environment of the Money Broker or Share Dealer requires the buyer, or seller, to be instantaneously connected with the person with whom he wants to trade which is why such operations have “open” direct connections between a Trader / Dealer and his or her opposite number in another Trading Operation. The open circuits, committing specific channels for a specific connection are referred to as CAS circuits and are the lifeblood of the Dealer marketplace.

It will therefore be readily appreciated that recovery of these CAS circuits, should the Trading Room suffer an outage for any reason, is paramount. However, to date no vendor has addressed the market of providing a comprehensive technological solution for the recovery of individual CAS circuits – or individual circuits passing through any Leased Lines – until now!
